Kunte’s Chess Academy, established in 2007 by Women’s International Master (WIM) Mrunalini Kunte, is one of Pune’s leading institutions for chess education and talent development. With five active branches across Mayur Colony, Pimple Nilakh, PYC Hindu Gymkhana, Warje, and Poona Club, the academy offers structured training for all levels—from beginners to title holders. Under the leadership of WIM Mrunalini Kunte and the strategic guidance of Grandmaster Abhijit Kunte (Adviser), the academy has produced numerous state, national, and international champions. The academy’s mission is to promote chess as a tool for intellectual growth and build a strong chess culture among students.
